As per the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 a person is responsible for fire safety in business or other non-domestic premises if they are:
This person is known as the ‘responsible person’.
The responsible person must carry out and regularly review a fire risk assessment of the premises. This will identify what needs to be done to prevent fire and keep people safe.
A written record must be kept of the fire risk assessment if the business has five or more people.
The Fire Safety Order also applies if there are paying guests, for example a bed and breakfast, guesthouse or a self-catering property let.
This is where Briskaid can help. We can come to your premises and carry out a fire risk assessment for you.
Accident investigation requires a methodical, structured approach to information gathering, collation and analysis. The findings of the investigation can form the basis of an action plan to prevent the accident or incident from happening again and for improving the overall management of risk. If an accident happens at your workplace Briskaid can deliver a comprehensive report to assist you in these matters.
Better absence management helps reduce days lost to sickness. If you require assistance with absence management or practical ideas to put into place contact Briskaid for an informal consultation.
If you are located in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire or Essex, contact us to discuss how we can help with risk assessments or to arrange a consultation.
